Enhanced Pwr-Load EPROM: - This is the enhanced version of the Pwr-Load EPROM and
is only available pre-programmed (only non-enhanced code available
on website). The enhanced features include:
- optimised transfer routine (contained in ROM, not on disk)
- works with multi-part programs (that use kernal calls)
- loads large files such as captures /backups which load
under I/O map
- also speeds up SEQ and other byte-by-byte operations (special
parallel ACPTR routine)
- available concurrently with JiffyDOS (you need to pass
the JD test to order this option)
- EPROM has 2 or 3 kernals (CBM, Pwr-Load and if you have
a older C64 and the above adaptor a third ROM of your choice
- just email it to me)
- allows combination of partition numbers and Pwr-Load prefix
- routing of device #2 to the IEC bus for future 64HDD RS232
support
The standard C64 ROM is available at a flick of the switch should you want to return to a stock machine.

EPROM if/when an upgrade is available

its original kernal chip. A DOS wedge makes easy work of typing
all those Commodore DOS commands. There are two versions - a
standard version and a PwrLoad version. Both have the same functionality,
but the PwrLoad version is designed for users of 64HDD who have

| Adaptor for 24pin to 28pin ROMs: - This adaptor allows you to ugrade your C64's kernal ROM.
The adaptor is required if you have an older machine which uses
24pin chips for the Kernal, etc.
This particular design includes a three position switch
that allows you to switch between 3 kernals if the appropriate
ROM is installed. Even though the circuit for such an adaptor
is published on this website,
the adaptor can be fiddley to build.
